You can fly to Guernsey from many of the UK's regional airports or you can sail from the south coast of England.  Once here, travel within the island is quick and cheap.  On arrival at the airport, you can catch a taxi or a bus to many island destinations.  During your holiday, you will find the island buses cheap, clean and punctual.  Alternatively you can hire a car.
